Terms of Service
These terms govern the SonicStream website and iOS app (the “Service”), operated by Aleph Technologies, South Africa. By using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

What SonicStream is
SonicStream is a directory aggregator. It lists publicly broadcast, licensed radio streams and links you to them. This is the same legal model as TuneIn and radio.net.
We do not host, rebroadcast, transcode, or store audio. When you press play, your device connects directly to the broadcaster’s servers.
Broadcaster rights
Any broadcaster may claim their listing or ask us to remove it. Use the claim form in the app (About tab) or email hello@sonicstream.co.za. We action removal requests within 5 business days.
This exists so a rights holder can correct or delist a station without a dispute over the directory itself.
Intellectual property
Station names, logos, and marks belong to their broadcasters. We use them only to identify the station in the directory.
The SonicStream name and the app’s design belong to Aleph Technologies.
Service availability
SonicStream is free and ad-supported. No subscription is currently offered.
Streams are third-party. We cannot guarantee availability, quality, or continuity. Stations may be added or removed without notice.
Now-playing metadata is supplied by broadcasters. It may be incomplete, delayed, or absent. Roughly half the directory publishes no track information at all.
Acceptable use
You may not:
- redistribute streams you reach through the Service;
- scrape the directory;
- circumvent a broadcaster’s restrictions (including geo-blocks or access controls);
- use the SonicStream API outside the official app.
Liability
The Service is provided as-is. We give no warranty that it, or any third-party stream, will work without interruption or error. This is a free service.
To the extent permitted by South African law, Aleph Technologies is not liable for loss arising from your use of the Service or from any stream you play through it.
Changes
We may change these terms. Continued use after a change is acceptance of the new terms. Material changes will be announced in the app.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Disputes are subject to the South African courts.
